October 29, there was the grand opening of the school "student restaurant" and special laboratories in Uzhgorod Higher Vocational School of Trade and Food Technology. The symbolic red ribbon during the opening ceremony was cut by the Deputy Head of the region Ivan Kachur and the Director of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of the Regional State Administration Marianna Klyap.
From now on, future sellers will hone their skills in 2 modern specialized laboratories of trade settlement equipment and mechanization, and bartenders and waiters – in the restaurant. 649,000 UAH has been allocated from the regional budget for the construction of these facilities.
The school prepares future chefs, confectioners, food and other vendors, waiters and bartenders. Many students want to achieve the level of the former graduate of the school, Uzhgorod pastry Valentin Shtefanyo.
The school cooperates with foreign partners. In particular, it was a participant of the Ukrainian-Canadian project "Decentralized Management of Skills Training in Ukraine."
