Employment at a price of blood

On November 19, the annual Job Fair took place at the Uzhgorod district employment center.

 Currently, 354 unemployed persons are registered with the Uzhgorod District Employment Center. Among them, there are four refugees from East Ukraine. As employees of the employment center explained, a lot of such people would like to register with the cemter, but they can not do it because of lack of necessary documents. So they are provided with advisory services only.

Representative of Uzhgorod military commissariat Petro Nevesely invited all young men aged 18 to 40 to enlist to military service under the contract and said that all military are guaranteed to receive wages of 2200 to 4500 UAH. He offered men to serve at the 128th Mechanized Brigade, deployed in Mukachevo. However, he did not rule out the probability of being sent to the ATO zone: "It’s not like buckets of blood are shed there.There is danger. But someone has to do it too. All soldiers in the ATO area receive 7000 UAH, ie double salary, they can be treated in military hospitals. They are provided with free food during the operation. Besides, this solves the housing problem" – Petro Nevesely described the prospects of conscript service.

However, in Uzhgorod, the "housing" issue so far has not been resolved positively. But in Mukachevo, according to Petro Nevesely, a few years ago, they did buy 300 apartments and distribute them to soldiers. Women, however, currently are not needed in the army.
