Less than in a year in the county of Maramuresh five stations are to be built that will turn garbage into energy.
Giorgos Laguranis, a representative of German company EurAsia Management GmbH visited the county of Maramuresh, which is close to Transcarpathia. Interest in this picturesque area of Romania can be explained by the fact that the pragmatic Germans want to build here, in the heart of Europe, stations for recycling garbage and production of electricity and thermal energy. The representative of the German company said that a similar plant operates in the center of Vienna and other major European cities.
He met local officials and a group of professionals responsible for implementation of the project ‘Integrated waste management in the county of Maramuresh.’
Investments are eco-friendly and the methods are certified by the European institutions. We are talking about burning of waste and turning them into energy. The Germans promised that the plants will be built in three months, and their price will be 75 million euros.
Recycling mechanism operates on the basis of plasma reactors of new generation. The temperature reaches 2500 degrees Celsius, which allows to burn any type of waste, including industrial one.
In the county of Maramuresh, more than 200,000 tons of waste is piled every year, which makes in average nearly 0.9 kg daily per capita in urban areas, while in rural areas – 0.4 kg, so the potential for such stations is more than high.
