The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration signed a decree to shorten working day by an hour from 2 to 10 of August. Weather forecasters predict abnormally high air temperature in the region during this period.
– In the most part of Transcarpathia, it is expected to reach 36 degrees, and in the southern districts – Beregovo and Vynogradiv – up to 38 degrees, – Hennadiy Moskal says. – It is impossible to work productively in such conditions, unless the room is equipped with air-conditioners, and there are not many of those. For the rest of the workers (and especially those who work in the open air), it is better to change the working schedule and reduce working by an hour.
The missed hours from 2 to 10 of August hours will be carried over to working days in late August and early September, when the temperature is normalized (from 28.08 to 5.09).
According to the devree of H. Moskal, institutions and enterprises of all forms of ownership are recommended to change the work schedule, to increase breaks, to restrict the execution of highly dangerous work, etc.
