“Drunk catch” on Transcarpathian roads

Over the past day, officers of the Transcarpathian patrol police response team documented cases of driving under the influence of alcohol in Mukachevo, Irshava, Vynogradiv, Beregovo, Khust and Rakhiv districts.

In total, police officers detained eight drunk drivers.

In the village of Yanoshi in Beregovo district, police officers spotted at night a car VAZ-2102, which had suddenly stopped while moving. The driver was stopped for a check. It was driven by a resident of Mukachevo district in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication. He also did not have any documents. During the medical examination at the hospital, 3.3 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood. The report was drawn up against the offender. 

On the highway between the villages of Novy Luchki-Domboky of Mukachevo district, police officers stopped a motorcycle "Mustang", the driver of which was not wearing a safety helmet. It was driven by a local resident who did not have a driver’s license at all and was in a state of intoxication. During the medical examination in the district hospital, 3.25 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood. Law enforcement officers made reports of administrative offense against the driver for driving in a state of intoxication and without a driver’s license. 

In the village of Kushnytsia, Irshava district, at night, police officers stopped a car "BMW" with foreign registration. The car was moving at a high speed. It was driven by a local resident who did not have a driver’s license and was in a state of intoxication. 2.32 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood; the law enforcement officers made an appropriate report of administrative offense.

In the village of Pryborazhavske, Irshava district, in the evening, policemen stopped a car VAZ-2105, the driver of which had not turned on the turn signal during the maneuver. The driver was in a state of intoxication, 1.21 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood. The police officers made an appropriate report of administrative offense and seized the driver’s license.

In the village of Pyiterfolvo in Vynogradiv district, at night, the police stopped a foreign registered car "Opel" with the rear registration plate backlight off. The car was driven by a local resident in the state of alcohol intoxication. The driver refused to undergo medical examination, and the policemen in the presence of witnesses drew up the appropriate report of administrative offense and seized the driver’s license.

Two drunk drivers were detained by the officers of the Khust district patrol police. In the village of Berezovo, law enforcement officers stopped a tractor without a license plate. It was driven by a local resident who did not have a driver’s license and was in a state of intoxication. The driver refused to undergo medical examination, and the policemen drew up the appropriate report of administrative offense.

In Khust, at night, the police stopped a car "Opel", with the tail lights off. It was driven by a young woman who did not have a driver’s license and was in a state of intoxication. She refused to undergo medical examination. In the presence of two witnesses, law enforcement officers drew up a report of administrative violation for driving the state of alcoholic intoxication and without a driver’s license.

Another drunk driver was detained by the officers of the Rakhiv district patrol police.  

All the reports of administrative offenses against the offenders under Art. 130 of the CAO (Driving a vehicle by a person who is in a state of alcohol intoxication) will be forwarded to the court for making a final decision, – the police department of Transcarpathian region reported.
