It has been 5 years since metal and wooden sculptures were installed on Svoboda Avenue in Uzhgorod during its reconstruction initiated by the former Mayor Serhiy Ratushniak. Many people then criticized them, because trees were cut to half, and metal animals and birds "settled" there. But despite the criticism of residents and tourists, they continue to "live".
The problem is that now the sculptures need restoration. Some are standing on one leg, some "do not fly", an the rest are covered scribbles, ads and stickers. The "skin" of wooden pig and monkey starts peeling off, and metal ants, birds, snails, and deers are covered with rust, the paint on them is fading. Another problem is that these local "decorations" could harm the residents, because they are barely standing "on their feet" (or paws?), as well as dry trees, which, in fact, hold them …
