Dangerous mines and grenades can be found anywhere in Transcarpathia

Recently, explosive shells of WWII period have been found in completely unexpected places in Transcarpathia. Uzhgorod.in has reported that recently a grenade was discovered under water – in the city quarry where half of Uzhgorod residents go swimming. And yesterday another discovery was reported – on the alpine meadow in Rakhiv district.

Yesterday afternoon, rescuers received the message about the discovery of a mortar shell (approximately 120 mm) of WWII period. The dangerous shell was found high in the mountains – on the "Pryslip" meadow near the village of Bilyn in Rakhiv district.

The pyrotechnic team planned to remove and dispose of the shell today.
