Yesterday, at the meeting in the headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Transcarpathian region with the participation of the management, representatives of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine explained police officers the key nuances of the new electoral law and their role in the election process this autumn in the region.

The chief of the Transcarpathian police Serhiy Knyazev, and then the head of the CVU branch in Transcarpathia Dmytro Tuzhansky made opening remarks, and Doctor of Law Vitaliy Datsyuk explained the nuances of the work of law enforcement officers. In particular, he explained police officers the role of the police during the elections, and the 4 key stages of police participation in the electoral process.

After that, police officers asked questions that concerned the practical steps in contradictory and conflict situations that may arise during elections and which local law enforcement officers had already encountered.

The CVU representatives also said that law enforcement agencies will receive a number of reference materials (brochures, guides) on the role and participation of the police in local elections.

It is also envisaged that the final training for law enforcement officers will be held on October 20 during the final briefing of law enforcement officers involved in election process.
