Criminals who transported people across the border were detained in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

The Security Service of Ukraine detained a resident of the capital for organizing an interregional group that was engaged in the illegal transportation of foreigners to EU countries. 
Kyiv "businessmen" smuggling illegals via Transcarpathia were caught red-handed. The cost of their "services" amounted to 5 thousand US dollars from each client. 
During the special operation, SBU officers detained four members of the group in Rakhiv district of Transcarpathia while they were trying to smuggle several foreigners abroad. 
At the same time, in Kyiv, law enforcement officers arrested the organizer and mediator during the transfer of the agreed amount of money for the transportation of a group. 
Vehicles and telephones with evidence of illegal activity were found on the detainees. 
The defendants are charged with crimes under Art. 2 and 3 of Art. 332 (organization of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine committed by a group of persons with prior conspiracy and for selfish motives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions are underway. 
The operation was conducted by the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Security Service of Ukraine together with the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region and investigators of the National Police of Kyiv region under the procedural control of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
