COVID-19: the situation as of the morning of July 17 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia, Ukraine

During the past day, July 16, 340 people sought emergency medical care, 32 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 25 were suspected of having COVID-19.

870 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

63 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 5 of them are medical workers, 2 are children.

For the past 24hrs, 2 deaths among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 145 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died. 

1499 patients have recovered.  

Overall, as of 9:00 am on July 17, 2020, 4166 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 579 are health care workers and 224 are children.

35166 polymerase chain reaction tests and 5351 ELISA tests for COVID-19 have been carried out.

Transcarpathian Regional Center of Public Health 

As of the morning of July 17, 691 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

2 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in Uzhgorod.

381 people have recovered  

13 persons have died.
  
13 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 284 are on outpatient treatment. 

In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have collected 87 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction test.
