COVID-19: the situation as of the morning of August 9 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia, Ukraine

During the past day, August 8, 401 people sought emergency medical care, 43 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 22 were suspected of having COVID-19.

594 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

For the past 24hrs, 2 deaths among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 220 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died. 

Transcarpathian Regional Center of Public Health 

As of the morning of August 9, 942 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

9 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in Uzhgorod.

495 people have recovered  

16 persons have died.
  
27 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 404 are on outpatient treatment.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on August 9, there have been 79750 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 1879 were fatal, 43655 patients have recovered. During the day, 1489 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:
