During the past day, August 8, 401 people sought emergency medical care, 43 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 22 were suspected of having COVID-19.
594 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.
For the past 24hrs, 2 deaths among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 220 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

As of the morning of August 9, 942 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".
