COVID-19: the situation as of August 22 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia, Ukraine

As of the morning of August 22, 1190 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

15 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in Uzhgorod.

599 people have recovered  

17 persons have died.
  
44 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 530 are on outpatient treatment.

In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have collected 134 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction test. 

In Transcarpathia, during the past day, 114 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 5 of them are medical workers, and 5 are children.

During the past day, August 21, 375 people sought emergency medical care, 27 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 29 were suspected of having COVID-19.

For the past 24hrs, 3 deaths among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 246 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died. 

2944 patients have recovered.

1381 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.  

Overall, as of 9:00 am on August 22, 2020, 6885 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 816 are health care workers and 378 are children.

In Ukraine, 2328 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours

37 people with confirmed diagnosis have died. This is evidenced by the latest data published on the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

In total, during the entire period of the epidemic in Ukraine, according to the National Security and Defense Council, 102971 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed. 51735 people have recovered, 2244 people have died.

Most new cases were found in Kharkiv (291), Odesa (210), Ternopil (206), Chernivtsi (208) regions, the city of Kyiv (179), Lviv (172), Ivano-Frankivsk (169), Rivne (145) and Transcarpathian (114) regions.
