Court is deciding what to do about the elections in one of the constituencies in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

A court hearing of the Transcarpathian District Administrative Court, which may cancel the results of the elections to the Uzhgorod City Council in 2 constituencies, is taking place today in Uzhgorod.

The plaintiff, the candidate for deputies of the City Council Ivan Temnikov claims that his civil right to be elected was violated during the elections.

The fact is that Ivan Temnikov was on the list of the ES party in the 2nd constituency under number 5. But due to the printing error, his name was shifted in the ballot and was listed second under number 4. Thus, voters who intended to vote for him did not find him in the list.

That is, the party did not lose any votes, but some candidates lost the opportunity to be elected as deputies.

Then the victim filed a lawsuit.

If the judge uphelds his claims, there may be re-election in one of the constituencies in Uzhgorod. It is possible that it will take place along with the second round of mayoral elections.
