Coronavirus has come to Hungary: the neighboring country has entered into outbreak phase

Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Wednesday that two people in Hungary had been infected with a coronavirus, the MyHungary.Net reports.

"We have the first case of a coronavirus, in fact, there are two patients who had to be delivered to a medical facility because of a coronavirus infection," – Viktor Orban said in a video posted on Facebook after the emergency meeting.

"The coronavirus has come to Hungary," – Orban said, adding that Hungary had entered into the phase of protection against outbreak. From now on, the operative board will meet daily at noon before informing the press of the latest updates on the virus, he said.

At the meeting on Wednesday, the board concluded that there are enough doctors and nurses in Hungary, as well as the necessary tools and legislation needed to protect against the virus, the Prime Minister added.
