Contractor was obliged to refund 895 thousand UAH to the Uzhgorod community

The Municipal Economy Department of Uzhgorod City Council won at the Western Economic Court of Appeal (the city of Lviv) a lawsuit on the collection of pecuniary damage in the amount of 895 thousand 380 hryvnias from the "OLEXANDRIA CAPITAL" LLC (the contract organization that performed the capital repairs of Peremoha street (from Lehotsky street to the village of Storozhnytsia) in 2017).

According to the contract, the contractor had to complete all works by December 20, 2017, but through the fault of the contractor firm, the works were not completed in time or carried out improperly, which caused the territorial community of Uzhgorod material damage in the above said amount. Everything was confirmed by the court expert.

 To ensure the refund of budget money and to prevent the violation of the rights of the territorial community, the Municipal Economy Department of Uzhgorod City Council appealed to the court.
At the moment, the decision of the Western Economic Court of Appeal has come into force and the enforcement procedure is to be commenced, the Department of Municipal Economy informed.
