October 13, 2015, at the Chop border guard detachment (the city of Chop, Holovna st., 55a), there will be mass and cultural activities to celebrate the Day of the Defender of Ukraine. The holiday was established by the decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for the purpose of honoring the courage and heroism of the defenders of independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, military traditions and achievements of the Ukrainian people, promote patriotic spirit in society.
The event will begin with the official part at 10:30, on October 13, 2015. After that, there will be an open day in the office of the Chop border guard detachment. Children of Chop schools, their parents and teachers are are invited to participate. The guest will have a chance to see the weapons and technical equipment for the protection of the state border. There will also be an exhibition of children’s drawings on military subjects, competitions among children’s teams, dog show.
