Yesterday, on the International Children’s Day, the historic and cultural center "Owl’s Nest" in Uzhgorod became a center of informal education and entertainment for kids "Fortress".
More than three dozen institutions, artists presented at the "Fortress" their locations, and in afternoon kids were drawing, constructing, reading, doing applications and stained glass, sculpting, planting flowers, learning foreign languages and much more. Mothers meanwhile could take part in the sports section. Young fencers conducted master classes. and seasoned travelers – "survival lessons".
The unique event was officially opened by the chief administrator of the executive committee of Uzhgorod city council Olena Makara and ideological founder and organizer of the "Fortress" Oleksandra Kuznetsova.
"On this special day, we tried to create a fun holiday for kids and hopefully we succeeded. I want to assure that the City Council will always support such projects, which aim to develop creative potential of children, because they are our future", – Olena Makara stressed in her welcoming speech.
The festival in the "Owl’s Nest" is one of the many events that are taking place today in different parts of the city.
