Next year will have a lot of beautiful celestial phenomena
Solar eclipses, planets and meteor showers – the next year will have a lot of beautiful phenomena in the starry sky, the DW informs.
There will be two solar eclipses next year. On June 21 it will be an annular eclipse, and on December 14 it will be a full eclipse. There will also be four lunar eclipses next year, the first of which will take place on January 10.
In addition to eclipses, planets at a minimum distance to Earth will also be observed during the year. In April, Venus can be observed even in the afternoon, and then it will return in late June in the morning. And in the beginning of the year, Mars will be visible in the morning sky. Starting in June, the red planet will be visible at the end of the night, and from October until the end of the year Mars will be visible throughout the night.
A unique phenomenon will be presented by Jupiter and Saturn, which will converge on December 21 so that they will look like one star. Since the Jupiter’s orbiting period is 12 Earth years, and Saturn’s is 30, such meeting of the two largest planets is very rare.
And from August 9 to August 13, you will be able to make a lot of wishes – because it will be the period of the highest activity of the Perseids meteoroid flux. If for some reason you do not make a wish then, you will have a second chance in November, during the peak of Leonids meteoroid flux.
