Another unauthorized reconstruction In Uzhgorod – the Transfiguration church domes are being replaced
Church of the Transfiguration is one of the oldest temples of Uzhgorod and by the order of Transcarpathian RSA department of culture it has been included in the list of monuments of local importance. Built in 1802, the church initially was the Greek Catholic temple, in communist times it was given to the university and reconstructed, and only in 1992 was returned to the community, but as the Orthodox Church.

The figure of Havrylo Hlyuk driving a car stands on a large boulder. Next to him there is the sketch of the famous painting “Loggers”, which once brought the artist international acclaim at the World Art Exhibition in Brussels. In the back seat of the car there is an easel, which indicates to everyone that this car is driven by an artist. This monument, made by the sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko, was set today, on the anniversary of the death of the renowned artist.
“7 Days” by 7 artists
Today, October 31, in the press center “Transcarpathia” the art album “7 Days” was presented, which features works by seven representatives of contemporary Transcarpathian art: Serhiy Dubovets, Vlad Habda, Taras Tabaka, Pavlo Kovacs, Vadim Harabaruk, Taras Usyk and Serhiy Biba.
