The driver of a tourist bus, who was carrying a group of children to Italy, tried to bribe border guards to have them let one of the minors abroad.
Last night, when checking the documents of the passengers of the bus "Lviv-Verona", the border guards of the checkpoint "Tisa" found out that a 15-year-old girl did not have documents necessary for crossing the border. While the group leader tried to persuade law enforcers that the mother was raising her daughter alone and the father’s permission was not needed, the "inventive" driver tried to solve the problem in another way. He offered border guards a monetary reward of 50 euros if they agree to ignore the absence of necessary documents.
The soldiers, of course, refused and reported the attempt to give a bribe to the National Police. A report about a possible offense under Article 369 of the Criminal Code "Proposition, promise or granting of unlawful benefit to an official" was sent to the Uzhgorod Police Department. The child, who did not have the relevant documents, was not allowed to go abroad.
After completing the necessary formalities, she and the group leader headed for the territory of Ukraine. Press Service of the Chop border guard detachment
