Yesterday, the border guards of the Mukachevo detachment once again showed zero tolerance for bribes. During a border control at the checkpoint "Dyakove", a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen traveling abroad with his underage daughter offered a 100-euro bribe for allowing the child to cross the border without his mother’s notarized consent.
Another attempt to give illegal reward was recorded by the detachment’s servicemen at the checkpoint "Luzhanka". A $100 bribe was offered by a 40-year-old US citizen. Despite the quarantine restrictions on the entry of foreigners into Ukraine, the man tried to bribe the inspector to enter the territory of our country.
In both cases, the border guards rejected the illegal offers, instead, they reported the crimes under Part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code "Offer, promise or giving of illegal benefit to an official" to the police.
