Today, at the checkpoint "Vylok", a car "Volkswagen" with Hungarian registration driven by a citizen of Hungary arrived at the "green corridor" lane.
During the border control, border guards became suspicious about the possible movement of contraband cigarettes in that vehicle.
As a result of the in-depth inspection of the car, border guards of the Border Guard Service department "Vylok" of the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment together with Transcarpathian customs officers, found in the luggage compartment, in a specially made cache and in a cache under the rear passenger seat, hidden cigarettes "Lifa" in the amount of 500 packs, "Compliment-3" in the amount of 1,000 packs, "Compliment-5" in the amount of 1,000 packs without excise stamps. The access to the cigarettes was made possible after dismantling of specially made plates, which blocked the access to the caches.
The contraband cigarettes and the vehicle (as a means of smuggling) were seized.
Also, yesterday, at the checkpoint "Dyakove" of the Mukachevo border guard detachment, while taking control measures, border guards suspected transportation of objects and materials hidden from the border and customs control in a vehicle with a Romanian registration driven by a Romanian citizen.
The border guards decided to take the vehicle out of the general queue for in-depth inspection.
During the in-depth inspection of the vehicle, they found inside the van a homemade partition, which consisted of 2 boards with a hollow space between them that can be used as a hiding place for moving contraband across the state border of Ukraine.
The information about the presence of a cache in the vehicle will be entered to the relevant database.
