Bomb experts destroyed two mortar shells found in Uzhgorod on Pankevich street

Yesterday, on March 17, rescuers received a report that while walking on Pankevich street in Uzhgorod, local residents had found two objects looking like explosive.

Specialists of the bomb squad were sent to this location and identified the dangerous items as 82 mm mortar shells of the Second World War period. They were seized and destroyed in a specially designated place.

The State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region once again appeals to the citizens: if you find an explosive, immediately report about it by calling "101" or "102".

It is strictly forbidden to touch it, move it, pour liquid or dirt on it. Avoid any sound, light, thermal or mechanical impact on an explosive object, since practically all explosives are sensitive to such impacts.
