Traditional river regatta was held in Uzhgorod. This year, despite the unhappy coincidences for the event, 13 symbolic crafted ships started. Hot summer led to a very low water level in the river Uzh, and on the day of the regatta it grew cold, storm postponed.
The fastest team "Sanka", that united 3 friends, classmates, this year’ graduates of senior high school and already the students of Uzhgorod National University: Norbert, Ishtvan, Matthias and junior Tibor, was the fastest to run the two kilometers distance from one transport bridge to another.
Rich fantasy traditional river regatta participants provoked to create interesting and original boats, among which the most spectacular were tank and its crew, a young pioneer and his dog, pink pig and a submarine.
Reward is original as well. Famous Uzhgorod confectioner Valentin Stefanyo prepared mini-sculptures of "Svobodka" made of caramel. These were presented to four winners in various regatta categories.
