A 22-year-old Hungarian failed an attempt of illegal transportation of tobacco products across the state border. During the examination of a car "Skoda", that arrived yesterday in the evening at the checkpoint "Tisa", border guards together with fiscal service workers found 580 packs of cigarettes of various brands.

The foreigner tried to carry contraband tobacco products in caches made in recesses in all four undercarriages and in the bottom niche of the vehicle.

The cigarettes and the car, in which they were hidden, were seized by customs officers, the total value of the confiscated goods is more than 97,000 UAH.

Recall that for the past 24 hours, this is the fourth case of detection of tobacco products, which violators tried to carry across the border in the zone of the ​​Chop border guard detachment. Another three such attempts were stopped yesterday morning by border guards and customs officers at the checkpoints "Tisa" and "Uzhgorod".
