Autumn was rich in sporting events for children of the Mukachevo Orienteering Club "Tovarysh." Master of Sports from Ukraine Maria Semak, who in recent years has been competing for the club "Farum" from Copenhagen, won two medals – silver and bronze – in the championships of Denmark on middle and long distances.
Young Mukachevo athletes also had a success in late October in Kremnica, which in the Middle Ages was the "gold capital" of Europe (it provided more than 90 percent of European gold output). The open championship of Slovakia in sprint and rating orienteering competitions with the participation of athletes from Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic and Ukraine were held there. 12-year-old Nina Tsepurdey was the first in her age category on the middle distance, her sister Katerina took the fourth place. Bronze medal was awarded to 9-year-old Vladislav Tsepurdey for a good result among his peers. In the competition among adults, Nina Raschupkina finished with the fourth result.
Transcarpathians also won two major awards in traditional mountain running competition held at Mount Sydorovo in Great Fatra mountain range near Ružomberok. Serhiy Raschupkin won the first prize on the 13-kilometer-long track, Eduard Hapak from Uzhgorod won the silver medal.
Serhiy Babich is also content with his result. In his age group, the Mukachevo athlete finished 21st at the Royal halfmarathon held in Krakow, Poland.
