Attack on a pensioner in Uzhgorod: a man has been indicted

The prosecutor’s office approved the indictment against a man who attacked a pensioner in Uzhgorod 

With the approval of the Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office, a 36-year-old resident of the regional center was indicted of robbery (Part 1 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) of a pensioner. 
The incident happened on Kapushanska street in Uzhgorod. The offender attacked the man and took his bag, which contained the victim’s money and personal belongings. 
The attacker was promptly detained by law enforcement officers, and the stolen property was returned to the owner. The choice of a pre-trial restraint against the suspect is currently being decided. The prosecutor’s office will request that he be remanded in custody without any alternative. The pre-trial investigation under the procedural control of local prosecutors is ongoing.
