At the customs post “Maly Berezny”, an “ALFA ROMEO” was confiscated from a Russian

Early this morning (14.11.20), inspectors of the customs post "Maly Berezny" together with officers of the Department of Prevention and Counteraction to Smuggling and Violation of Customs Rules of the Transcarpathian Customs and border guards documented the fact of illegal export of tobacco products by a Russian citizen.
Leaving Ukraine for the Czech Republic at 6 o’clock in the morning in a car ALFA ROMEO, a 41-year-old resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Russian Federation, who is temporarily registered in Mykolayiv, deliberately chose a simplified control zone – the "green corridor".
During the customs and border inspection, the inspectors asked the foreigner whether he was moving any hidden goods, to which he replied uncertainly that he was not carrying anything across the border illegally.
However, customs officers decided to check the "law-abiding" Russian, conducting an in-depth inspection of his vehicle. Thus, customs officers found 399 packs of tobacco products without excise stamps hidden from customs control in the doorsteps of the car. Access to the hidden cigarettes became possible after dismantling two wheels.
Therefore, a report on violation of customs rules under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine was drawn up against the foreigner. The cigarettes of various brands (Marvel red – 275 pcs., LD – 50 pcs., Marvel blue – 65 pcs., and Compliment – 9 pcs.) together with the car used to move the hidden goods, worth almost UAH 110,000, were seized pending court decision.
