At the checkpoint “Vylok”, a Lexus was fleeing from border guards (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Yesterday, around 16.30, a "Lexus" with Ukrainian registration with two men arrived bt the checkpoint "Vylok" on the border with Hungary.

During the border control, officers of the State Border Guard Service suspected that the number of the vehicle body might be forged. Therefore, border guards decided to check the car and the documents more thoroughly. But instead of going to a special box, one of the men, who was in the car, got behind the wheel, swiftly turned aroung and drove from the checkpoint towards Ukraine. His accomplice tried to stop a border guard from using the barrier. The car knocked down the barrier that hit the border guard. In order to stop the fugitive, soldiers had to make a warning shot.

Border guards immediately began pursuit and reported the incident to the National Police. Reserves and staff of operational units were engaged in the search. Soon, the offenders realized that they were not going to escape, pulled over and left the car.

Currently, the two men, who participated in the offenses, were detained, another one is wanted.

The soldier, who was injured, is in the hospital, his life is not in danger. 

Interacting bodies were notified about the incident, the information about the signs of a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art.345 and Art.290 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was registered in the URPI.
