At night, citizens of the Sudan, Eritrea and two Ukrainians were detained in Transcarpathia

Yesterday, around midnight, border guards of the "Luzhanka" department of the Mukachevo Detachment noticed from the observation point one person moving toward the state border.

The response group arrested the offender while trying to overcome the barrier fence at a distance of 50 meters from the border. The man explained that he was from the Sudan, but had no documents to prove this statement.  In addition, the border patrol, during the search operations and inspection of the area, at the distance of a few tens of meters from the spot of the previous detention, found and detained another offender, according to him, a citizen of Eritrea. Later, 2 citizens of Ukraine were found nearby, likely involved in smuggling of illegal immigrants.  

The detainees were taken to the border unit for identification and verification measures.
