Recall that tumultuous events of February 24 in Uzhgorod did not end with the change of municipal authorities. Students and faculty of Uzhgorod National University set the ultimatums to the rector Fedir Vashchuk. Resignation by 12.00, February 25 was the demand of teachers, from students it was more radical – immediate resignation. To motivate the rector, he was offered not only a blank sheet of paper, but also adhesive tape to remind him about a recent incident with the chief customs officer of Transcarpathia.

Later it was announced that at the meeting with students in the rectorate, Fedir Vashcuk temporarily resigned, leaving his post at the discretion of the Academic Council of UzhNU, the meeting of which will be held today, February 25, at 12.00. Students are going to picket at 11.00.
