Emma Levadska was born in Luhansk region. In 1960, she graduated from the Kyiv School of Decorative and Applied Arts and together with her husband – artist Georgy Levadsky – moved to work and live in Uzhgorod. She worked at the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Local History and the regional "Art Fund".
She was a co-founder and member of the Association of Professional Artists of Transcarpathia, as well as the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine. She worked as a teacher-methodologist at the Uzhgorod Children’s School of Arts, where she taught painting, drawing and composition to children aged 6 to 14 years old. She was the initiator of the establishment and head of the creative art school for children "Little Louvre". Since 1980, she has been a regular participant in regional and international exhibitions, plein airs, symposia and competitions.
She was awarded the silver medal of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Ukraine, international diplomas in art, as well as the artistic prize for the 1st place at the international plein air in Hungary.
The artist’s works are kept in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum, private collections in Russia, Hungary, Canada and other countries.
Emma Levadska organized exhibitions of our students’ works in museums and galleries of the city. The children always looked forward to meeting their mentor. With her inexhaustible love for the work she did, she constantly encouraged us, her colleagues, to active creative search and was an example of a true teacher, – Olga Tsyfra wrote in her post.
