On January 30, in the Transcarpathian Philharmonic in Uzhgorod, the Symphony Orchestra (headed by Honored Artist of Ukraine Victoria Svalyavchik-Tsanko), along with the conductor, an Argentinean with Italian roots, Ramiro Arista presented a new program called "Winter Serenade".
The hall was crowded, despite the fact that the ticket cost 100 hryvnias. It is not surprising, because the visitor is well known to the Uzhgorod audience, since he has performed in the regional center several times. The Argentinean’s career is impressive: over a decade and a half, he has worked with 70 orchestras in 14 countries.
Yesterday’s program featured fragments from the ballet "The Nutcracker" and Serenade for the string orchestra by Petr Tchaikovsky, as well as Latin American music by composers from Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Brazil, Cuba.
The guest’s inflammatory temperament and charisma immediately captured the listeners. The listeners did not hold applause after each piece, encored him several times, gave flowers.
When asked about the next performnce in Uzhgorod, he said that he was planning to come in December.
