The first rituals of contemplation of flowering plants were mentioned in 710-794 in Japan. Now they are known as hanami (admiring flowers) and are mainly associated with cherries (sakura) and occasionally plums. Today, this tradition has established itself in Transcarpathia, and local residents and guests of the region, sometimes entire families, go searching for the most beautiful flowering trees. Starting from April 15, 2018, in some cities of Transcarpathia (Uzhgorod, Vynogradiv), the decorative cherries have almost reached the peak of their flowering. Mukachevo and Irshava are still waiting, but on the next weekend, they will be drowning in pink "clouds".
As of April 16, the sakuras of Transcarpathia look as follows:

I would also like to remind you of the campaign #Save_sakuras, which last year was initiated by Galina Yartseva. Save these tender trees so that next generations could admire them too.
#Save_sakuras
or how to handle sakuras properly!
1. Sakuras do not smell and fade very quickly.
2. Selfies with detached sakura branch are not cool!!
3. Sakura does not bear fruit, so do not steal seedlings to private mansions and wait for golden plums.
4. Lift a child up to branches, instead of pulling branches down.
5. Wind will sweep leaves from sakuras when the flowers have performed their function. Do not help flowers slough. Leave the beauty for others.
