Anti-corruption meeting with the faculties’ deans and the departments’ heads was held in UzhNU

Anti-corruption meeting with the faculties’ deans and the heads of departments was held by a pro rector on scientific and pedagogical work, Professor Vasyl Lemak. He urged the representatives of UzhNU departments to take the complex of appropriate measures, including those related to dissemination of information among employees about the avoidance of attempts of taking bribes – informs the press service of Uzhgorod National University.

It was emphasized that in the case of bribes’ transmission law enforcement officers arrest not only the teachers but also the students. Moreover, it will be taken into account not only the single fact of the money provision or some other values, but preliminary concept and purpose of such action. According to the Ukrainian law, person can get 12 years imprisonment by taking a bribe. At the same time V. Lemak said: ‘I ​​dream when we’ll begin the work on the improvement of the education quality, rather than resolve such issues.’

Vasyl Vasyliovych instructed deans and the departments’ heads to hold anti-corruption conversations and draw protocols of these meetings. First pro rector also announced that the Universitty leadership is ready to spend money for anti-corruption conditions’ creation in UzhNU.
