A relevant for Transcarpathia issue of the preschool network expansion was discussed at the Board of the Regional State Administration on Wednesday, June 26.
Over the last 5 years, the number of preschool children in the region has been constantly increasing – while in 2009, there were 92,000 preschoolers in the region, in 2012 there were nearly 105,000 of them.
Thus, the issue of the need for new kindergartens remains relevant. A sensible and cost-effective solution is to build educational complexes in villages – as they do, for example, in Vynogradiv district. There are several complexes there which are often, with the consent of local communities, located in the village council premises. The staff of teachers and other employees of such institutions is increased only if necessary, thus they save money.
According to Marianna Klyap, by the end of the year they plan to open 15 new educational complexes (at the end of the school year, there were 42 such institutions in the region, for comparison – in 2008 there were only 18 of them). Six educational facilities will be opened in Uzhgorod, four – in Mizhhirya district, also educational complexes will be opened in Velyky Berezny and Perechyn districts.
