According to the viewer’s sympathy Uzhgorod singer Angelina Monyak appeared in the Super Final of the national fight for the title ‘Holos Krainy’ (‘Voice of the Country’). And only in the latest stage she yielded to the singer from Lviv Pavlo Tabakov, the ward of the star coach Diana Arberina.
In the final broadcast Angelina sang together with her coach Valeria and with the first season super finalist of ‘Holos Krainy’ Tonia Matvienko. Angelina sang with Antonina the Ukrainian lyrical song and classical Soviet stage music with Valeria, besides the party from the Chicago musical ‘Cats’.
Angelina admitted that she was not satisfied with the chosen to perform in the final song, but she resigned. ‘Unfortunately, we did not find any song which would be approached better for me. I wanted to sing “Adagio”, but the music producer called it already enough performed. There were several options, we wanted even to remake the hit song “Killing me softly” in the academic style, but then stopped at the originally classical composition. I don’t like the song “Memory”: it is a good repertoire, but not the final one. Even the composition which I performed on the “blind listening” much better reveals my voice.’
Angelina also voiced her plans for the future: ‘I want to work with the author of the song “La Voix” Frederik Shchempe – I think he would be able to create an incredible repertoire for me. Of course, I want to open myself as the academic vocalist, but I do not reject the opportunity of the further opera-pop songs performance, because it is very popular genre nowadays’.
All the project participants will perform in the TV gala concert on May 9.
