If you want to hear what and how Transcarpathians were singing 100-200 years ago, do not miss the Easter program of the Transcarpathian Folk Choir "Ancient Easter songs in Uzhgorod castle"!
The Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir is preparing a very interesting unique program for Uzhgorod residents and guests. According to the choir director Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk, on April 23 (Easter Sunday), at 14.00, in Uzhgorod castle, you will be able to hear the Transcarpathian choral music of 19th and early 20th century.
Works of Oleksandr Dukhnovich, Vasyl Talapkovych, Ioann Bokshay, Silvaya, Kizyma and others, songs by Mykhailo Roschahivsky (performed by children’s ensembles) and many more almost lost or forgotten works! None of the works to be performed can be found in modern collections!
Recall that from 20 of April to 8 of May, the "Sakura Fest" will also be held in Uzhgorod, – Uzhgorod city council informs.
