An “aviator” wanted to cross the Slovak border

Tonight, while carrying out operational and preventive measures "Horizont", border guards of the department "Uzhgorod", together with their Slovak counterparts, managed to prevent the illegal activities of our compatriot who flew to Slovakia on a small aircraft.
At midnight, border guards of the department "Palad-Komarivtsi" heard the sound of an engine in the air. The flight of an unknown craft was also recorded by thermal imaging complexes. With no technical capability to interfere with aircraft movements, border guards began search operations to find the take-off location and the offender’s accomplices.
They also immediately notified the neighboring units and Slovak colleagues from the "Vysne Nemecke" border control department.
Using the information by Uzhgorod border guards, officers of the Slovak Border Police were able to find the aircraft landing spot. Near Sobrance, a few kilometers from the Ukrainian-Slovak border, they found a motoparatrike prepared for the illegal transportation of contraband goods. The aircraft was piloted by a citizen of Ukraine.
According to the press service of the Chop Border Guard Detachment, verification and investigative measures are being carried out regarding the detainee and the committed offense.
