American universities offer the ‘free of charge’ education

The Representatives of Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced the start of the joint project of the distance online-education edX, informs Obozrevatel.

The initiators are planning to conduct ‘the revolution in online education’, and make it free of charge, qualitative and maximum affordable.

Education will be composed of lectures video-courses, distance learning lessons, tests, communication in groups and the teacher’s control.

The special software will not only control the learning process, but also analyze the student’s behavior for improving of existing programs, including the ocular ones.

The founders allocated $30 million each for the edX development, they are also planning to expand the frames of partnership by involving to it higher educational institutions.

It is also planned to join the billion of students across the world to the experiment. Education will be free of charge, but those who wants to get a certificate of its passing, will have to pay a small fee.
