Almost 3000 cases of acute respiratory infections in the first week of the epidemic!

"In the first week of observation (from September 30 to October 6, 2019), low intensity of the acute respiratory infection epidemic process is observed in the region," – the epidemiologist of the Epidemiological Studies Department of the Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of MoH of Ukraine said. The number of appeals to the medical institutions of the region is 2,778 persons. The intensive incidence rate is 221.5 per 100 thousand persons and is almost twice below the set epidemic threshold.
66% of the patients are children under 17 (1,840 cases) and 34% are adults (938 cases).
4% of patients are under inpatient treatment. Traditionally the largest share is children under 4 years.
