Alexandr Solontai from Transcarpathia was detained after landing in Russia’s Domodedovo airport without giving any explanations on Sunday. This was reported by ‘Interfaks’ with reference to the federal political council of the opposition movement ‘Solidarnist’ executive secretary Mykhailo Shnaider.
‘Alexandr had flown to Moscow to give a lecture on the political situation in Ukraine to the Moscow’s activists of ‘Solidarnist’ political council. He is the director of the “Practical politics” program in the Political Education Institute. Border guards detained him without giving an explanation to their actions. Currently, he is in the Domodedovo prison’, – informed Shnaider.
He also informed that a prominent Russian human rights defender Lev Ponomariov has already appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office so that they sorted out in this detention.
‘We believe that this detention is totally unjustified and illegal’, – added the executive secretary.
No comments, on this matter, were not reported from the law enforcement bodies so far.
