Another academy will be operating in Transcarpathia – football one, the Uryadovy Kuryer informs. It was announced by the football club "Minaj", whose name is the same as the name of a village in Uzhgorod district. The club now plays in the second league of Ukrainian football, but has great ambitions.
The seriousness of the intent is evidenced by the fact that future professional football players will train four times a week under the guidance of children’s coaches – former football masters who have considerable achievements in their careers. Importantly, the training at the academy will be free, boys will be provided with gear, footballs and other equipment. Currently, recruitment of boys ages 13-14 is ongoing. In the future, students will be enrolled to the main team of the club. The students of the academy will gain playing experience in the junior team, which is planned to be formed at the club “Minaj”, in order to play in the Junior Football League Championship of Ukraine.
