About 500 packs of cigarettes were hidden in a fuel tank

Yesterday, at the customs post "Solotvyno" of the Transcarpathian customs office, customs officers and border guards found 470 packs of domestically made cigarettes with excise stamps of Ukraine hidden from customs control. The tobacco products were found in a "VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER" driven by a citizen of Romania.

Thus, the foreigner chose the "red corridor" for customs clearance. Before customs control, the citizen verbally declared the absence of any goods and objects hidden from customs control, or those that are prohibited for export from Ukraine.

After taking the decision to send the vehicle to the in-depth inspection box, in the course of the inspecstion, customs officers found domestically made tobacco products "KENT" with excise stamps of Ukraine that had not been declared during the oral questioning and were hidden from customs control. The cigarettes were covered with plastic wrap and located inside the fuel tank.

Thus, the citizen committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, ie, using design features of the vehicle.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

The report on violation of customs rules was drawn up, the cigarettes and the vehicle were seized.
