In Uzhgorod, on November 27, they tested ZAZ-A10 – a low-floor 8.2 m long bus that accommodates a total of 60 passengers, has 24 seats, including one for wheelchair users and persons with disabilities, the press service of Uzhgorod City Council reported.
The mid-range bus is equipped with Euro 5 engine, German-made automatic transmission, comfortable for people with disabilities, equipped with a special "cleaning" system that facilitates passenger entry / exit.
According to the manufacturer’s representative, such buses are used in the cities of Brovary, Boryspil, Kyiv, Boyarka and so on. According to him, the peculiarity of such a bus is that it is relatively small, but with a high passenger capacity. The basic model costs UAH 2 million 150 thousand. However, if necessary, more options can be added, and different colors can be ordered. The manufacturer is Zaporizhzhya Bus Plant. Today, in Uzhgorod, the bus took a trip on the 14th route.
Passengers shared their impressions, told about the advantages, some noted the inconvenience of seat placement, as there are several steps, a narrow passage in the back of the bus, not enough room for standing passengers.
People also noted that there was a vibration during movement. Compared to the "Electrons" currently being used on bus routes, the level of comfort and technical characteristics of the bus is much lower.
Uzhgorod City Council is exploring the possibility of purchasing (through open bidding) buses of lower passenger capacity for the utility company "Uzhgorod Municipal Transport" next year.
