A working group on forest protection will be established in Transcarpathia

The discussion on the development of the Transcarpathian forest industry with ecologists, community activists and scientists took place in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration
This was reported in the press service of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Depo.Zakarpattya informs.
The meeting, which was also attended by heads of regional departments of the National Police, Security Service of Ukraine and Patrol Police, was held on Monday, August 5, in the Small Hall of the Regional State Administration.  During the discussion, many people claimed that the reason for the unsatisfactory condition of the forests is the lack of rational approach by the current manager of the Transcarpathian Regional Forestry and Hunting Range Administration Valeriy Murha. Activists said they wanted to invite him to the next meeting to report on his work.
The heads of the law enforcement agencies of the region assured the participants of the event that within their competence they would do their best to contribute to solving crimes in the forestry sector and were open to communication with the public.
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Igor Bondarenko instructed to establish a working group, which should include, in addition to the participants of today’s event, representatives of the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, the leadership of the Transcarpathian Regional Forestry and Hunting Range Administration and media representatives. The working group meeting may take place next week.
