A village council chairman asked 4,000 UAH bribe for the lease of 27 square meters

Prosecutor’s office ensured control over the pre-trial investigation on the criminal proceedingover the fact of soliciting and receiving 4,000 UAH bribe by the head of the village of Pushkino inVinogradiv district.
The investigation department of Vinogradiv District Police included the information on this fact inthe Unified register of pre-trial investigation, and initiated pre-trial investigation on the criminaloffense under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (bribe taking by an official who holdsa responsible position).
As uzhgorod.in reported, April 29, the official while being in his office, acting intentionally, withselfish motives, demanded and received from a resident of Vinogradiv a bribe in the amount of4,000 UAH for a positive decision on the lease of the premises with an area of ​27 sq. m. in theadministrative building of the village council for further deployment of the medical diagnosticequipment to provide medical services there.
The village head was caught at the scene of the criminal offense by the police.
