Another bribe-taker walked away with a slap on the wrist. The court in Beregovo sentenced a border guard of the "Luzhanka" department to UAH 25,000 fine and three years of a prohibition to hold positions in the civil service in law enforcement agencies.
Perhaps the border guard received such a mild punishment for fully admitting that he had taken a $ 200 bribe for the assistance in unobstructed smuggling of cigarettes across the border.
