A round table within the framework of cross-border cooperation programs was held in UzhNU (PHOTOS)

A round table with organizations and institutions of the region implementing projects within the cross-border cooperation programs "Poland – Belarus – Ukraine" and "Hungary – Slovakia – Romania – Ukraine" UIS 2014-2020 was held today at the Rector’s Office of Uzhgorod National University. 
Oleksiy Petrov, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Mykhailo Rivis, the chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, Bohdan Andriyiv, the Mayor of Uzhgorod, and Volodymyr Smolanka, the Rector of Uzhgorod National University, made welcoming speeches. Bohdan Andriyiv, in particular, noted that the Uzhgorod City Council pays great attention to cross-border cooperation, participation in grant projects. Currently, Uzhgorod is implementing 7 grant projects – in medicine, education, culture, environmental protection and security of our city. 
Speakers spoke in detail about cross-border projects implemented by Uzhgorod with sister cities. They presented important infrastructure and soft projects aimed at developing socio-economic infrastructure, preserving the environment, improving the health care sector, preserving the cultural and historical heritage of the region and individual communities. 
During the meeting they discussed the achievements of the projects, opportunities for cooperation with regional authorities to address administrative and organizational issues of project implementation, their financial and methodological support.
