The city police detectives identifed and detained a resident of Mukachevo who, while being on parole, had committed a number of criminal offenses. This previously convicted citizen confessed to stealing of an expensive mobile phone.
A 25-year-old resident of the village of Bystrytsya in Mukachevo district reported the theft of a mobile phone "iPhone" to the Mukachevo city police department.
After checking the range of persons, who might be involved in the disappearance of the expensive thing, the detectives of the Criminal Investigation Division Vasyl Savkiv and Yuriy Shemshey reached the previously convicted 18-year-old youngster. The boy confessed to the theft and said that while visiting his sister who lives in the village, he noticed that the house of the victim for a long time had not been lived in. So, in broad daylight, he entered the house and looked for something valuable. When he found the "iPhone", he decided that that would be sufficient to repay debt to a friend…
The criminal offense was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigation and the pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (burglary) has been initiated.
